Gina helps me shake off the rust and get into form

A great day for some beach shooting. Gina enlisted to help me shake off any rust left from the two months break. We headed to Leddy Beach in Burlington for my first outing there. With the beach all to ourselves, we had a lot of fun and we created some beautiful images.

Lindsay and John’s Wedding at The Trapp Family Lodge

The Trapp Family Lodge

Stowe, VT

Lindsay and John said I do in one of the most beautiful resorts in the North East, The Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe. The ceremony and reception rooms were beautifully decorated. Lindsay, an interior decorator by trade, made a lot of the details herself and her talent showed. After the ceremony was over we headed out for some shots with the beautiful scenery. It was snowing and there was enough snow on the ground to make for some nice wintery shots. The dinner prepared by the Trapp chefs was great and it was complete by a delicious cake. Following were some very moving speeches by the two fathers and Lindsay’s sister. The evening ended by everybody having fun at the smore’s station outside.

Thanks to Lindsay and John for choosing me to be a part of their big day.

Sarah and BJ’s Wedding at The Ponds at Bolton Valley

The Ponds at Bolton Valley, Bolton VT

We started of with Sarah and the girls getting ready at their condo at Bolton Valley. The sun was shining and the weather was seasonably cold. After everybody was ready we headed down to the ponds for the first round of pictures. We took advantage of the daylight and took care of most of the formal shots. Actually, very few of them were really “formal”. Everybody had a lot of fun and it showed in the results. Then it was back up to get a quick snack. We headed back down in couple of hours to get ready for the big moment. Sarah and BJ had decorated the Ponds and the place looked even better than it usually does. To honor their lost friend they had made ONE THOUSAND origami paper cranes.

After the couple said I do it was time for the party. Everybody danced right until the end. The good people at The Ponds had prepared industrial amounts of deserts complete with a chocolate waterfall, marshmallow station, cupcakes, candy and lots of other deliciousness.

Couples are often reluctant of having a Winter Wedding. Sarah and BJs union was a perfect example of why you should consider going off the beaten path and have your Big Day in the Winter months.

Thanks to BJ and Sarah for choosing me to document their Wedding.

Josh and Meghan’s E-Session on Church Street

Meghan and Josh wanted to do a Winter themed Engagement Session which was a problem. There was no snow. Then finally we got the storm along with the snow we needed and plenty of it. We started Friday night at Church street. The scenery was amazing with all the lights and pretty white powder. We did a quick straw up and down Church and took advantage of all the opportunities.

We reconvened Saturday morning at The Red Barn in Richmond for part 2 of the shoot. It was much colder and the wind was punishing. We all soldiered on and visited the Round Church, and a coffee shop. Josh and Meghan even got to sled.

We all had a lot of fun, battled the weather and got great results.
